Rapido was launched in India in 2015 aiming to just provide a two-wheeler solo ride in otherwise congested Indian roads, that often led to traffic jams halting the four-wheeler cabs, and getting people late to their offices. The users for the app grew rapidly, and the company now pledges to make 1 M rides a day in major Indian cities such as Gurugram, Kolkata, Trichy, Patna, Indore, Jaipur and 12 others.
You can also choose to earn extra money by registering as their “captains”, if you’re a licensed driver, and have a valid ID proof and other required documents of vehicle ownership and others. A ‘captain’ is technically the vehicle driver, that chooses to work for the company in their extra time. You can also register on the site, and be assured of a part-time job, since the company is readily accepting applications.
